Hi I'm Kate

I’m a coach certified by the International Coaching Federation. I work with a wide range of clients to sort their problems and develop the skills that make them

As a coach certified by the International Coaching Federation, I am qualified to work with anyone, on pretty much any topic.*

My client list can only be defined by its diversity. I coach a lot of doctors. And I work with many different people, from politicians to social workers to communications experts to engineers to sex workers.

*Unless you are in emotional crisis, in which case I will most likely suggest that you work with a therapist. Also, there are two topics that coaching is not appropriate for, that require a specialised counsellor: these are finances, and relationships.

These are some examples of recent clients and their transformational journeys

A professional and a parent of two who wanted to make a 180˚ change to their career (they had been feeling stuck in a job they didn’t enjoy for a decade): they changed jobs within weeks of beginning coaching, and they are now working contentedly in a more stimulating but related area.

A 50-year old project manager wanted to ensure that the final 15 years of his career will be as fulfilling as possible: after a few sessions of coaching he had defined a game plan and was moving in exactly the direction he wanted to go.

A social worker who works in her third language and was seeking to improve her workplace communications: she is now more comfortable with her level of language proficiency, and is focusing more on refining her interpersonal skills, along with her self-empathy and compassion.

A surgeon wanted to find time in their demanding schedule to pursue personal and family interests: they now take their children to their music lessons; delegate more than before; and are choosing to prioritize their most cherished career goals, at last.

A client whose gender makes her a rare minority in her particular discipline, who was wishing to adjust her ‘persona’ at work so that she could engage with her male colleagues with confidence, while remaining true to her sense of herself as a woman. She is now doing all of this, and making strides in her career, while also planning to start a family.

A Black PhD candidate who was preparing to defend their thesis in front of a panel of white scientists; they have now been awarded their doctorate and have embarked upon a postdoctoral research project in a laboratory where they feel included and respected.

A communications expert who was seeking to manage her responses during stressful exchanges with colleagues, in a particularly demanding phase of a long-term project: she has now found constructive ways to manage her stress, and is communicating with all of her colleagues with calmness, confidence, and better outcomes.
